I have amazing friends.

Katrina and I have been living in our apartment for 24 days now. We just recently got some furniture, but we still didn’t have a couch. We just didn’t have the money, or haven’t found one yet. So we’ve been sitting on the floor the entire time.

Well, I have a very good friend that decided he wanted to change that. So he surprised me yesterday when I came home from work and GAVE ME HIS LIKE NEW COUCH. I didn’t know what to say so I just stared at him, then the couch, then back to him. My eyes got watery and all I could muster was a, “Thank you. Thank you so much.” I hope I didn’t disappoint him with my reaction. I just didn’t know what to say. It was so unexpected.

So we have a couch now! A wonderful, like-new couch that he kept in excellent condition. We are so happy. All we did yesterday was sit on our new couch. It felt amazing! It is definitely my favorite piece of furniture now. I feel so loved whenever I sit on the couch.

I feel a lot of love today. Things always work out in life. Sure, we didn’t have a couch for 24 days and I’m sure that would drive a lot of people mad, make them angry, cause much stress. But we just sat on our floor and felt grateful to even have an apartment. We felt that everything would turn out just fine eventually. Let the good things come to us. And they did. We found a perfect yard sale that furnished 70% of our apartment – so everything matches – and got it all for $95. We got a free, like-new couch. Somehow, someway we’re going to find an awesome computer desk and not pay much for it. After that, all we really need are dining chairs. Somehow it’ll all work out.

Meanwhile, we will continue to be grateful for everything we have. Life is so good!
