Moving Out February 1st, 2010!!!

Two words: SUPER. EXCITED.

We finally found an apartment! Words cannot describe the excitement we feel. We move out February 1st and are counting down the seconds to be able to sleep in our new apartment.

We decided to go with a homey 1 bedroom instead of a 2 bedroom. We were very tempted, but we decided that we didn’t really need the extra room and that we could use the extra money to pay off the credit cards and to save money for our move to Portland, OR (eventually).

Now that we’re moving out, I have some instant goals to incorporate into my life.

Goals to Start Upon Moving Out!

  1. Raw Food Diet. No one to tempt me now and no one to criticize my food. YAY!
  2. Long walks/slight running every day. It will be easy to do this since we have to take Charlie (dog) out every morning and evening.
  3. Reading Time. Finally… some peace, quiet and our own personal space!
  4. Running Around Naked! Since no one will be around anymore, we can run around naked as much as we want! Which, I hope, will be about 70% of the time (as long as no one is visiting, of course).

For now, that is it for my instant goals. Internet and electricity will be installed upon move in so we will be 100% set up on day 1. PERFECT. I’ve been looking through Craigslist now trying to find things for the new apartment and right off the bat I found one of my top priority items for SUPER CHEAP! I found a basic water dispenser for $20 (the ones you don’t plug in – to save electricity!) and two 5 gallon GLASS water bottles for $75 TOGETHER!!!!!!!!! That is an amazing deal!

If I were to have bought the exact same thing online, I would have been looking at the following prices: Ceramic Water Crock Dispenser – $22.99; Ceramic Crock Natural Solid Wood Stand – $27.95; Glass Water Bottle – $47.95 (each; 2 QTY); S/H – $43.98; TOTAL ONLINE: $190.82. ACTUAL SAVINGS: $95.82 !!!

Besides that, we’re looking for a good computer desk and chair, a couch or two, coffee table and all the other little household items every else takes for granted.

Again: SO. EXCITED.

Much love!
