It’s been a few days. To console the very few readers I have at the moment, I have uploaded a very pretty picture of purple flowers I took sometime in high school. Enjoy!
As for my current goal of being a minimalist, I have only done the following:
- Gave away two full boxes of books.
- Bought an Acer Aspire One AOD250-1738 netbook off Amazon.com (just today!).
So far so good, I’d say! I’ll be getting my netbook sometime tomorrow. The netbook was a steal! $300 on Amazon and $27 for one day delivery. I think that’s fantastic! I would have saved the $27 and gotten the free standard shipping, but I desperately need this netbook now. No, it’s not because I just can’t wait. It’s because I have to work from home this long weekend and I’d rather work on the netbook than tie up my main computer (which I share with someone else) all four days I’ll be working from home. I’d rather pay the $27 one day shipping than inconvenience the other person.
As for giving away two boxes of my books… IT FELT WONDERFUL! I was slightly nervous that I would get cold feet when the time came, but it was insanely freeing. Just seeing the excitement in their faces in getting free, AWESOME books gave me great satisfaction. I don’t know where I got this from, but I am definitely passionate about giving things away. Nothing makes me happier. Some how, some way… I will figure out how make that into a living. I couldn’t think of a better way to live my life.
I still have books and the rest of my belongings to give away, but the rest of the boxes are in a place that is currently inaccessible. I will just have to wait to continue my minimalist goal. I’m not very far away from accomplishing it.
I’m most excited about giving my 24″ iMac to my mom. She loves to sing and has actually recorded (on her own) three CD’s. They are adorable. All Mexican music, of course. She is working on her fourth CD. It’s her passion and it would be SO MUCH EASIER to record her music on the iMac. I’m getting chills just thinking about it. I can’t wait!
Alrighty, everyone have a fantastic day! If you’re feeling down, give someone something they’ve been wanting and/or need. It instantly makes you feel better!
Much love!
